Overview
Level II brings together investment officers, economists and other experts to discuss economic forecasts, trends and the consequences of low interest rates on county government. Investment officers discover online resources for financial and investment information and learn alternatives to traditional investments. Come and benefit from the ideas of some great economists and how they perceive the economic challenges facing our country.
Learning Outcomes
CIO’s successfully completing Level II can:
- Determine what securities are available to county investment officers;
- Be aware of new banking issues (CDARS, Collateral Issues, Treasury Management Products and fraud filters);
- Understand updates to the Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE);
- Find new resources for economic and investment information;
- Use yield curve information effectively;
- Review policies and depository contracts;
- Navigate the legislative Web site; and
- Much more!
Registration Information
If your annual CIO dues are paid, no additional registration fee is required for this event. For those who have attended the CIO Level I, but are no longer active in the CIO certification program, the registration fee for this 20-hour training is $150.

Who Should Attend?
Attendance is open to Texas Association of Counties Certified County Investment Officers (CIOs) and those who attended CIO Level I.
